JOINING THE CAPE INDEPENDENT FILM ASSOCIATION

Currently, membership in the Cape Independent Film Association (CIFA) is FREE! One only need to have a love of filmmaking and the willingness to work on our film projects to join! We seek both professional and amateur filmmakers in the region who have a desire to make movies! Actors, musicians, writers, photographers, artists, and others in the community interested in the art of filmmaking are also welcome (and needed) to join us! We especially seek people who are looking to specialize in a specific aspect of movie-making (make-up, lighting, editing, etc.) and those with film production equipment that can be used for productions! But, all in the region are welcome to join the CIFA, regardless of talent or level of involvement!

In 2007, we will then seek to organize our membership into two categories: active and associate. Those ACTIVE MEMBERS, who pay membership dues and are actively involved in film production, will make up the decision-making core membership. Those non-dues-paying members will comprise the ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP and act as additional help and talent when available. Active members will receive certain member's benefits, passes, discounts, and the use of facilities and equipment! The future member dues will be very reasonable and used for the group.

We now have a printable membership form to fill out or one may join the CIFA by simply calling or e-mailing us with your contact info, your list of film activites, and what you would like to be involved with! Or just attend one of our open meetings and fill out the form!
